It's What You Wear From Ear To Ear

On Sunday, my mommy was sick. My daddy let her stay in bed for a while. He had been waiting to put this camo sweatsuit on me since the day I was born. I guess my Great Aunt Penny made it for my brother Luke and he and Ben both wore it. I am pretty sure she never intended for me to wear it, but Daddy had other ideas, this was his chance, Oh I was so embarassed!

Seriously, I was mortified that my Dad, dressed me like a boy and then, to make matters worse my mom took my picture when she woke up. (She added the bow, she had ordered it by mistake, it was supposed to be lime green, but it showed up construction worker yellow and she could not think of a better outfit to add it to)

I REFUSED to allow the orange Crocs to remain on my feet to complete the ensemble, I mean a girl has to draw the line somewhere.

But then again, here is proof that I am beautiful no matter what they put on me!

I mean, they say, "It's what you wear, from ear to ear, and NOT from head to toe that matters" RIGHT?

BUT, Aunt Penny, if you are out there, maybe a PINK camo sweatsuit? PLEASE?!

such a beautiful little gal :). So glad to keep up with you all even if for brief moments here and there, she is getting so big!

Hope you are feeling better soon! It is a bummer being sick AND taking care of kiddos. :0/

Hello,

My name is Kelly. I came across your blog from the blog titled "The Miracle of Matthew"...

I love the title of your blog - it reminds me of my own - which I delicately named "Praise in Spite of Pain".

I am so sorry for your losses...we too have experienced similar heartache. Our second daughter, Liberty, died when she was 5 months and 3 days old. She passed away after a long, hard fight for her life...the day before my birthday on Oct 27, 2007. We miss her so very much...We have three other daughters ages 4 and under.

We moved to Texas last summer following these hardships - looking for a fresh start. We truly love it here, though it will never completely heal the brokeness I feel inside.

I would love to get to know you, if you feel like talking. My email is momleavingalegacy@yahoo.com

God bless you guys...

It is so what you wear from ear to ear! She is too cute in her camo though. BTW...my hubby has me dress Hope in the boys old stuff that he considers neutral (YUCK).

Way too cute Kristy. There is so mischief behind those eyes of hers. Wait till she starts talking and has her words together. Hannah has shown that she is a comedian and just cracks herself up!!:) She's on a roll!! Love you Kristy.

Love and Hugs, Laurie

This is terrific. My husband dressed up our son in a camo outfit that consisted of a muscle t-shirt, vest and shorts. Quite the hideous ensemble. But he had the same grin as your little one. Makes it all worth it.

Don't worry Hope I have two older brothers and my Mom use to dress me in my brother's overalls with pink shirts when I was a baby. I am six and I play dress up in my princess dresses all the time. Just humor Mom. She will make it up to you later. :-)
