(I AM planning to post about Asher's amazing birthday weekend and our March of Dimes Event at GE, but I am short on time as Luke is in our children's program at church this weekend and we are super busy! If you live in the area and want to come see him play a mean air guitar on stage email me and I will give you the details! :-) For now here is a Benjamin funny...)
Ben: Mommy, you have a baby in yours belly?
Mommy: Yes, Ben I do.
Ben: Mommy, you have a baby in yours butt?
Mommy: (slightly stunned by his honesty) No, just in my belly. (guess I won't be indulging in my every craving anymore)
Ben: Mommy, Daddy is a boy?
Mommy: Yes Daddy is a boy.
Ben: Luke is a boy?
Mommy: Yes, Luke is a boy.
Ben: Ben is a boy!
Mommy: Yep! Ben is a boy!
Ben: Mommy is a girl?
Mommy: Yes, Mommy is a girl.
(he seriously sat there thinking for at least two or three minutes and then it was like a lightbulb went on.)
Ben: OH! Boys have a penis and girls have a belly?
Mommy: (laughing so hard I couldn't breathe) Um...well...kind of.

How precious! Gave me a good laugh as well.
how sweet! how innocent!
LOL!!! Oh that boy! One thing is for certain, Kristy: your future will NOT be boring. :)
oh my word, how funny is that!!
I rarely use this line, but here it is... LOL! I am literally laughing out loud! :)
Kids. Two days ago my daughter was here with her little girls. They were playing with some dolls I have and I asked Jocelyn what she would name a brother or sister if her mommy had another one. She looked at me and said, 'How do you know our secret?' Ooops.
Oh so cute. Thanks for the laugh.
Some of the our smaller children were wondering how you could tell the babies gender in an ultrasound. The bigger children (then about 7 or 8) proudly informed them that they just looked to see if the baby had long hair.
Blessings,
Kimberly
What a great laugh to start my day! He's so cute!
What would you do without Benjamin?! That's just too funny! Thank you for sharing - it made me laugh out loud; to the point my 4 year old son asked me what I was laughing about and I chose not to share. Hee hee! Gotta love what comes out of the mouth of babes!
Hope you have a great (busy) weekend!

ROFL! God love that sweet boy!!!
That is so sweet!! I love that age of innocence, its just wonderful!
BRILLIANT.
We've been trying to explain to Quinn (who is just now 19-months-old) that his little brother is in my belly, and EVERYBODY has a belly, but MOMMOM has a BABY in her BELLY. He knows what a baby is, so for a while when he would check out my belly and couldn't SEE a baby, he would keep tugging at my shirt to see if he could see one up in there somewhere. We would tell him to quit pulling at my shirt like that, and he finally got tired of trying to figure it out.
More than a month later he was taking a bath and happened to look down while he was helping rub the soap on his belly, and he excitedly patted his chest and yelled "BABIES!"
I laughed so hard I cried...
that's hilarious! oh, the honesty of kids!
My Ben said to me this summer: I know the difference between boys and girl's. Boys have a pee-pee that sticks out and girls have a butt-pee-pee!
So funny! My son is very curious, too. He asked me the other day - 'Mommy, if girls don't have a penis then where does the pee-pee come out?'

Love it!!!! I just read it to the husband and he was cracking up!!! He wants to be friends with Ben :)
I just love this post. My grandson Isaac and I have been having these discussions too. I love how Ben is figuring it out on his own so far. He is close. I just cracked up when I read this. I just love toddlers to pieces!!! Hope your weekend is great. I love you.
Love and Hugs, Laurie

That was so funny! Little children are just so refreshing, aren't they? Really, they make life so interesting and entertaining!
Kids really are funny...love that story! I've spent a week with a 10-year-old who talks non-stop (I think he enjoys hearing his own voice ;o) Anyway, on Sunday we had dinner at Subway. He filled up his cup before we left and got all the way into the house carrying it along with three board games and then the entire cup spilled all over the floor just as he went to set it on the counter. After cleaning up the sticky mess, he declared "well, the floor is clean now...it wouldn't have been dirty, but..." I was cracking up!
I think I almost just fell off my bed! Tell Ben thanks so much for the laugh tonight!!
So sweet and full of innocence--I love it!!! Thanks for sharing!! :)
HILARIOUS!!
It reminds me of when our son differentiated me from DH by having "big, squishy boobs that spray out milk."
