Things I swore I wouldn't do...

So for a long time I never imagined myself the mom of a baby girl. I was immersed in dump trucks, tractors, and dinosaurs and I LOVED it! (I still do) I was nervous that being the mommy to a girl would not suit me. I could not imagine myself getting excited over pink, bows and tutus. Then June 1st happened. We were blessed with this little beauty, and though I swore I would NEVER be the mom to adorn my child with ridiculous giant bow headbands, two months later this ensued...

and man am I thankful it did! God surely does know best...being the mom to this girl suits me just fine!

Isn't it fun?! Girls are so precious and God surely knew what he was doing when He gave you one to love on. Dirt and trucks are fun, too, but there's just something about that sweet little girl stuff that makes you smile!

She is so cute!! I have two girls and one would tolerate the bows and the other one would not. Enjoy all the frilly stuff while you can. I just love little girls in bows, lace, tutu's, etc.

I have nothing but girls! Now I have grandsons and while I am smitten with them, it was a BIG adjustment. My youngest daughter kind of weaned me into it some. She loved HotWheels. Legos, Lincoln Logs, and race tracks as much as Barbies, baby dolls and her Easy-Bake oven. You wouldn't believe the flack I got from family over her Christmas presents! "You bought her WHAT?!"
I thought it was funny! She's now 17 and plays athletics, then puts on her skirt and makeup. She's well rounded. And I'll bet your little girl will be just as happy playing in the mud and the sandbox with her brothers as she is wearing her bows and playing with dolls and Barbies. =)
She sure is a doll!

and look how cute she looks! Sometimes the things we think we will never do are just the cutest! I love being a mom of two girls and I never thought I'd be dressing them in tutus and huge bows, but 11 months later I made tutus and bows!!!

Lol, too cute! I LOVE putting the giant flowers in my daughter's hair (born 1 week before Hope). Although I think she looks like a potted plant, I just can't help myself! We're so lucky to have such wonderful gilrs to adorn :)

I'm so happy to see that God gave you another baby--and a beautiful one at that. It really gives me hope and comfort to see Mommy's that have lost a child (or two) get to enjoy another baby. I hope to have another chance at that someday. Until then, I'll rejoice by watching you.

Love,
Trisha

Part of being a parent indeed involves "eating" and "swallowing" words about the things we vow we'll never do!!!

Hope is precious...with her bow or without it!!

My youngest daughter wouldn't even take her bow out at night to go to bed...she loved them. It was a bittersweet day when she declared that she would no longer wear them...thankfully, that wasn't until she was much older.

I think mothering a sweet girl is suiting you quite perfectly...
