A glimmer of hope...

I just got off of the phone with our doctor from Pittsburgh. As I have stated we do really trust and respect him and he was calling to update us on basically nothing....

He explained that they thought they had a good idea for a diagnosis but after I sent him the photos they came up with basically nothing. They really don't know right now but they are still trying to find a diagnosis. His only question for me was if we were quite certain this baby was male and I explained that it had been checked several times and we were quite certain. He said there are a few things that it could be that would only be transmitted to a male child.

He went on to say that he sees no reason why we shouldn't deliver here in Erie with our regular doctors. He was confident that the NICU here should be able to provide for any needs we would have immediately. He said he would call our doctors next week and be sure they were prepared and comfortable with everything.

Before we ended the conversation he said he just didn't want me to think he forgot about us and that he is trying very hard to find answers. He said that we of course are hoping for a better outcome this time, though things look remarkably similar to Isaac. This is the first time a doctor has even used the word hope with us. I know it isn't much but it has lifted my spirits just a bit!

Oh Kristy,

HOPE is a wonderful thing to hear and is such a spirit lifter. It is nice to hear that he has been searching for a diagnosis, and that you can feel safe in delivering Happy there.
This seems to have been a call you were really needing to get today. I am praying for more good news in the days to come for you and for Happy. Of course, I continue to pray for his healing, I really do.

Love and Hope to you tonight,
Laurie in Ca.

Kristy,

What a blessing that you will be able to deliver so close to home! It will definitely be nice to be surrounded by close family and friends.

I continue to look at that sonogram that you have posted and think what a BEAUTIFUL, sweet little face that Happy has. I really hope to get to see that gorgeous face in person. You're in my thoughts and prayers today!

Kristy,
This post brought tears to my eyes, just knowing that a doctor said the word HOPE!
It's silly I know, but you know what i mean when i say doctors don't always voice HOPE, even when they are praying for it!
I'm so glad that you have such a great doctor here in Pittsburgh, it was one thing we were really praying for, that someone here reached out to help you.
I've been trying to email you again since you said you never recieved my original email and i'm positive that Verizon hates me! I'm re-installing Outlook again(grrr)upgrading actually, so hopefully you will actually get something from me soon!!
All our love, and Happy Valentine's Day!!
