A Box of Blessings...

This weekend we are having our annual yard sale to get rid of the excess stuff in our home and make a little cash in the process. So this morning we did not go to church as we will be going tonight to Church in a Bar. So when we went outside we found a box full of groceries and some money. We are stunned. Stunned that someone anonymously wanted to help us in this way. Each of the items in the box will be put to good use. My kids were so excited about FUN cereal!

More than anything I cannot tell you what this did for our hearts today. Just the idea that someone out there has not forgotten. Someone out there still wants to help care for us when things are tough. Someone out there acknowledged the hardship we are going through and helped us know we are not alone.

We have had so very many people bless us in so many ways by offering blessings to us in so many forms and we are astounded. Thinking back about the ways we have been encouraged by so many we are completely humbled and our hearts are just a bit lighter for each of them. We want everyone to know that even though we have not had the opportunity to personally write a note to you to thank you for the blessing you are that doesn't mean it has gone unnoticed.

Today's blessings were especially uplifting. Life has been really tough since things have calmed down and everyone has gone back to normal. It has been quiet and though I know my boys are not forgotten sometimes I need a reminder that someone else remembers. So that box this morning was so much more than a box full of groceries and money, it was a box full of hope and encouragement. So to the people who sent today's blessing and the people who have sent blessings of all kinds whether gifts, prayers, cards or help, THANK YOU and may God bless each of you as he has blessed our family!

Thankful for packages....thankful for your honest and precious heart. Haven't been on the computer the past few days and caught up on your heart this morning. Oh the rollercoaster...makes us all sick sometimes! We are listening...praying and loving even from far away.

That's a wonderful thing that someone did. They truly were the body of Christ to your family! What a great way to minister to someone's heart, and I am glad it was such a blessing to you!

Isn't that the greatest when someone does something anonymously, knowing they just want to bless you. I'm so glad for you. Love the comment about "fun cereal".

Also, praying for you dad.

I am so glad that there are folks out there and around you that remember to love on you and your family when the wind stops blowing. You have such a wonderful heart... I wish I could catch a plane ride out and meet you and just give you a hug! You are loved here in Colorado and cared for in more than one way! God is good to bless us and those unexpected boxes have His finger prints all over them! Praying for you! Tam
