I am a 30 something year old mom of five precious boys and two sweet girls. Five of our children are here with us and two are in the arms of Jesus. Our sweet baby girl Hope was diagnosed with Dystrophic Epdermolysis Bullosa and our youngest son came to us through adoption, our youngest daughter through foster care, and I've recently been diagnosed with malignant melanoma the Lord has shown us just how Faithful He is. We will continue to Journey and follow Him where ever He leads. We feel very blessed that God chose us to be the parents of each of our kids, and we look forward to what He has in store for us in foster care!
I love seeing the pictures of Asher. I see so much of the older boys in him. And his mouth and cheeks are so sweet... Just makes me want to nuzzle them.
THanks for sharing Kristy!
PS: I'm commenting again. Anyone who "knows" me knows that I talk alot. It's hard for me to remain quiet... although I try.
I am always interested in your post and watching God's work in your life. My heart just goes out to you as I know these times have been so trying. I absolutely love this picture you posted this morning. So precious.
I was thinking of him and you guys this morning as I walked through a field of dandelions. My boys love them too, I don't think I'll ever be able to look at one in the same way again, they will always remind me of your precious Asher and his big brother Isaac.
I still pray for you many times a day. You are such a good mom, both to your boys here on earth and to the ones that you'll never forget.
Our garden here in Cardiff, UK is full of dandelions (I'm not much of a gardener!) but every time I see a dandelion now, I think of your little Asher... and I probably always will. Sending you lots of love, and letting you know that we're still thinking of you, even though we're far away. XXX
I too love pictures of Asher- I want to hold that teeny sweet little body:) You are walking in the right direction and dont doubt it for one second. I pray for you and for your husband and for your other 3 boys as well. You are a precious family of 5! You know how sometimes people hug you and you can tell there are hugging you cause they should or maybe thats the only way they know...( do I sound crazy???) If I could give you (a real world stanger) you would feel all that I carry in my heart for you. I dont pitty you not one ounce! I deeply as a mommy know the feeling of love from mommy to baby. The needs and the sheer joy when thats all they can do is demand. It makes us so special and hand picked by the Lord Himself. He knows how our heart works He made us this way.
Go ahead and mention my child, The one that died, you know. Don't worry about hurting me further. The depth of my pain doesn't show. Don't worry about making me cry. I'm already crying inside. Help me to heal by releasing The tears that I try to hide. I'm hurt when you just keep silent, Pretending she didn't exist. I'd rather you mention my child, Knowing that she has been missed. You asked me how I was doing. I say "pretty good" or "fine". But healing is something ongoing I feel it will take a lifetime. ~ Elizabeth Dent ~
